Michael Harris’s talk on video

Hello FairVoting Friends,

It is a great pleasure to forward to you the video of Michael Harris’s talk in Kitchener on Saturday, April 18th.

Michael’s talk was a very powerful description of the current Canadian political landscape at the federal level. He addressed the consequences for our democracy as a result of the excessive power currently invested at the executive level of our Parliament. We invite you view it. It is well worth the time.

Please feel free to forward and post the video.

Our great thanks to Laurel Russwurm who taped, edited and uploaded the video. Without Laurel’s commitment and effort this video would not be available. Thank you Laurel!

With best wishes,
Sharon Sommerville

Michael Harris at the Registry Theatre

Michael Harris on Bill C-51: It's a test of us. It's a test of our readiness to accept the loss of civil liberties over bogus threats. We all have a better chance of being killed by a moose than a member of ISIS. It's pretty hard to invade North America with a pick-up truck from the middle east. They have no air force.

This is one of the things Canadian journalist and author Michael Harris had to say at the Registry Theatre last month.  If you missed it, you can catch up now; the video is done and online.  The behind the scenes glimpse of a Canada most of us don’t ever see will curl your toes.
